Terms of Service
Welcome to TalentSymbia. By accessing or using our platform you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. General Terms
TalentSymbia ("Platform", "we", "us") provides AI career intelligence tools and a peer-to-peer skills marketplace. These Terms govern your use of all Platform features including career analysis, profile pages, marketplace listings, messaging, and payments.
You must be at least 18 years old to use TalentSymbia. By registering, you confirm you are legally allowed to enter binding agreements.
2. Accounts & Registration
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information during registration. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraud.
- One account per person — multiple accounts are not permitted
- You may not impersonate others
- Email verification is required for marketplace features
3. Marketplace Rules
The TalentSymbia marketplace allows users to post offers (services, digital products, physical goods) and requests (hiring, freelance work). All listings must be legal and comply with our content policies.
- No illegal goods or services
- No misleading descriptions
- Sellers are responsible for delivering what is described
- Buyers are responsible for clearly communicating their requirements
- Listings expire after 30 days and may be extended with tokens
4. Payments & Platform Fee
Marketplace payments are processed via Stripe. TalentSymbia charges a 10% platform fee on all completed deals. This fee is deducted before funds are transferred to the seller.
All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated. Sellers must connect a Stripe account to receive payments. By connecting Stripe, you also agree to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement.
5. Escrow Process
When a buyer pays for a deal, funds are held in escrow (authorized but not captured) until the buyer confirms completion. This protects both parties:
- Buyer: funds are only released after you confirm satisfaction
- Seller: funds are guaranteed once the deal is accepted and payment is made
Once the buyer marks a deal as complete, funds are captured and transferred to the seller's Stripe account within 2–7 business days.
6. Disputes & Refunds
Either party may open a dispute on a paid deal. Disputes are reviewed by our team and resolved within 5 business days. Possible outcomes:
- Full refund to buyer — if seller failed to deliver
- Full release to seller — if buyer acted in bad faith
- Partial resolution — split at our discretion
TalentSymbia's decision on disputes is final. We are not liable for losses arising from user disputes beyond the transaction amount held in escrow.
7. Conduct & Content
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Post false or misleading content
- Attempt to circumvent platform fees by transacting off-platform
- Use automated tools to scrape data
- Attempt unauthorized access to the platform or other user accounts
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend users who violate these rules.
8. Privacy Policy
We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the platform: email, name, profile information, and transaction data. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
- Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe — we do not store card numbers
- AI analysis results are stored to power your career dashboard
- Your public profile is visible to other users when you enable it
- You may request deletion of your account and data by emailing us
We use cookies for session management only. We do not use advertising trackers.
9. Limitation of Liability
TalentSymbia is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for: indirect or consequential losses, the quality of services delivered by marketplace sellers, AI analysis accuracy, or third-party service outages (Stripe, Cloudinary, etc.).
Our total liability to you in any circumstances is limited to the fees you have paid to TalentSymbia in the 3 months preceding the claim.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users by email for material changes. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
